Overnight Host – Providing Respite

Support Workers: Provide overnight support to children and/or adults with a developmental disability in your home Individually matched to a client who would incorporate well within your family routine and dynamic Assist people to develop skills and independence Assist families and VON to develop and implement individual support plans Independently contracted basis. One to two overnights per month. Hours will vary depending on individual plans Skills/Qualifications required: A screening of your home, with ability to meet the Health & Safety Checklist Prefer experience providing support or care to individuals with a disability Education and training in related field is an asset Asset to a vehicle for work purposes is preferred, but not required Patient, committed, reliable Ability to respect confidentiality and professional boundaries Excellent communication skills Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team providing support Interested applicants are encouraged to submit their resume to VON at the contact information below.
