Customer Support Representative

London, ON Chandco Manufacturing Inc. is a custom and contract manufacturer providing design and manufacturing services to diverse industries. We are seeking a motivated Customer Support Representative in our Metal Fabricating division. This is a key position where the representative will be the main point of contact between the customer and the internal design team. The Customer Support Representative will work closely with our design team as well as the project managers to ensure that customer requirements are met. The individual will be responsible for prospecting of new accounts, as well as all aspects of customer support activities, including answering inquires, quoting, scheduling, processing of sales orders, order entry, order changes, design reviews, coordinating shipments, and resolving project issues. The ideal candidate must have CAD design and manufacturing knowledge. The candidate should be an excellent communicator (written and verbal), and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and professionalism. This person is also expected to be mechanically-inclined and detail-oriented. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Main Functions Present Chandcos products and services to prospective and existing customers Develop new accounts and enhance existing relationships with customers Source new sales opportunities with new and existing customers Conduct visits to customers facility for the purpose of sales, and design/product reviews, as needed Understand the customers requirements and design intent to help the customer determine the appropriate products and/or services to best fulfil these requirements Review and interpret customers RFQ package, data, and specifications to ensure accurate and detailed estimates and quotes are provided Prepare sketches with illustration to communicate the scope of work internally and to customer Review customer purchase order to ensure the order information corresponds to the quote provided Enter sales orders and generate work orders Schedule project completion and deliveries according to the quote Continually track status of open orders to ensure on-time deliveries Attend design and production meetings, and follow up with the customer regarding any changes to requirements or timing Create shipping documents and arrange for shipment according to the schedule Handle customer feedback, inquiries, and complaints Keep detailed records of all customer interactions, details of inquiries, complaints, suggestions, feedback, as well as the action taken. Education & Experience Degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology Experience in sales & marketing is an asset Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset Requirements Analytical problem solving skills Good time management skills Strong mechanical and design skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to multi-task effectively Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings/blueprints Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Proficient in Solid Works Design Valid Ontario G license Valid travel documents Job Type: Full-time Language: English (Required)
