3M is seeking a Technologist for its Materials and Application Testing team located in London, ON. The successful candidate will make an impact by prioritizing and coordinating tape testing requests from Product Development, R&D, and Manufacturing teams, consulting with application engineering teams to develop test methods for customer applications, and optimizing and maintaining instrumentation capabilities. Main Responsibilities: Prioritizing and coordinating material testing requests (providing functional work direction to tape testing technicians) Support the Application Engineering team for customer testing to optimize the instruments (programming, maintenance, etc). Basic Qualifications: Technology Diploma or Science Degree from accredited College or University Analytical problem-solving skills Demonstrated software knowledge (MS Office) Strong interpersonal skills Collaborative personality style Preferred Qualifications: Strong mechanical skills Instron experience, force/strength measurement testing, caliper exposure an asset Proficient in basic lab skills, with experience in sample preparation, data management, and maintaining records of experiments Familiarity with analysis and statistical methods would be beneficial Travel: In this role, you will be required to travel less than 5% of the time. A valid drivers license is required.
