London, ON Permanent $35,000 – $45,000 a year Purpose of Position The Sales Assistant, under the direction of the Broker of Record, assists in the selling, leasing and marketing of commercial real estate properties. This role provides proactive, direct assistance and customer service to internal staff and external clients. Summary of Essential Job Functions Business Development Maintain direct contact with prospects by cold calling and forwarding mail-outs with the objective of increasing client awareness of available properties. Identify and qualify leads, contacts, and opportunities, and dedicate an agreed amount of time to conduct cold calls and building walks. Maintain and update contacts, leads and opportunities. Record prospect activity and report leads to manager. Act as a liaison to coordinate meetings with prospects. Respond to general inquiries. Client/Advisor Support Assist with on-site tours of properties with clients or prospects. Attend various client-related events, meetings and presentations. Assemble information packages specifically tailored to each client, which may include preparing tenant surveys, summary reports, maps, presentations, and progress reports. Become familiar with Broker of Records key clients. Assist in the development of mandate and/or listing pitches and presentations as well as coordinate marketing material. Draft listing agreements, commission agreements, amendments, trade records and additional transactional documentation. Coordinate resources and material necessary for transactions, including listing / commission agreements, leases, surveys, non-disclosure agreements and sales agreements. Research Conduct market information research through various sources including but not limited to Colliers in-house database and third party databases such as CRM+, MLS, MPAC, RealNet, and the Internet. Prepare reports based on market research. Update Colliers client information database with current property and client information. General Attend bi-weekly sales meetings, industry events, and open houses. Participate in training as directed by the Broker of Record including mandated Colliers University programs. Participate and enhance the companys mission, purpose and core values of Service, Expertise, Community, and Fun. Maintain a professional appearance. Work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends as required. Other duties as required. Required Skills A valid Real Estate License required. A valid drivers license and fully insured automobile may be required. A minimum of one year of business or office experience. Previous work experience in commercial real estate an asset. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Understanding of the real estate industry, including terminology and documentation required. Demonstrated ability to excel within a fast paced work environment. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
