Senior Process Engineer
SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEEROn behalf of our client, a global automotive supplier we are currently recruiting for a Senior Process Engineer. This is a permanent position located near London, Ontario.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead troubleshooting of our manufacturing processes, design and implementation of improvements to current processes Interacts with engineering manager and quality manager on job related functions Coordinates timing of new tooling, equipment, dies and related processing equipment for the purpose of PPAP support Interacts with Divisional Engineering on new jobs related to PPAP and process items Initiates job specifications in conjunction with Process Engineering for new jobs Coordinates and performs trial runs on new processes and equipment. Conducts time studies for new and existing processes/equipment Initiates improvements to existing systems, processes machinery and equipment to support manufacturing functions and operations Keeps abreast of technology improvements, recommends and justifies implementation of equipment and process Establish cost reduction improvements Works on continuous improvement programs and cost reduction projects Statistically analyzes gathered data in test runs and makes recommendations based upon analysis Works closely with shift supervisors and department managers Ensure proper quality operations of materials and equipment on new job start-up Comply with and share best practice / lessons learned initiatives Update tool drawings and plan layouts as required Special projects and related engineering assistance in support of other manufacturing operationsQUALIFICATIONS: Degree in an engineering discipline 5 – 7 years of manufacturing experience Ability to lead multi-disciplinary task teams / supervision experience Experience problem solving methodologies and the PFMEA process Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks Interpret blueprints/drawings to customer specifications Strong interpersonal skills are required Excellent written and oral communication skillsWhile we at Randstad Engineering appreciate all applicants who apply, only those selected for a preliminary interview will be contacted.To ApplyPlease apply online by uploading your resume to our website at www.Randstad.caRandstad Professionals CanadaRandstad Canada is committed to building a diverse workforce reflective of the diversity of Canada.
